FIO MONDO Proudly Presents:
FIO MONDO invites you to join us for the FIO ITALIA 2026 Summer Opera Festival in the idyllic town of Urbania, located in Italy’s historic region of Le Marche, from June 20 through July 25, 2026.
In 2026, FIO ITALIA will present full productions with orchestra of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly and Handel’s Alcina; as well as fully staged productions of Puccini’s Suor Angelica, Donizetti’s I pazzi per progetto, and Gluck’s Il parnaso confuso with piano. An additional opera, performed with orchestra and in collaboration with the Pergolesi Spontini Foundation, will be announced soon. Finally, FIO ITALIA presents multiple concerts and opera scenes performances throughout the festival.
FIO ITALIA’s internationally-renowned team will offer an all-encompassing artistic experience to our participants. The festival will include four weeks of Italian language classes, coaching sessions with Italian coaches, voice lessons, masterclasses with leading international artists, an immersive cultural experience, and much more! See below for specific opportunities for our singers, collaborative pianists, assistant conductors, and assistant directors.
Our Italian partner and the provider of our language classes, Centro Studi Italiani, is one of Italy’s most prestigious Italian language and culture schools for international students, with over 40 years of experience. It is possible for students to petition to their universities for language credits, as CSI will provide a transcript for the number of class hours taken.
