Join us for the FIO ITALIA 2027 Summer Opera Festival in the idyllic town of Urbania, located in Italy’s historic region of Le Marche, from June 19 through July 24, 2027.

In 2027, FIO ITALIA returns with an ambitious season of opera, concerts, and performances across Italy.

At the heart of the festival are two fully staged productions with orchestra: Puccini’s sweeping and romantic La Rondine and Mozart’s sparkling masterpiece Così fan tutte. The season will also feature fully staged productions of Puccini’s Suor Angelica and the comedy Gianni Schicchi, performed with piano.

Beyond the mainstage, FIO ITALIA will bring music into theaters and communities throughout the region with a touring American Music program, creating a vibrant cultural bridge between Italy and the United States. Emerging and Studio Artists will also present a series of concerts and opera scenes throughout the festival.

FIO ITALIA’s internationally-renowned team will offer an all-encompassing artistic experience to our participants. The festival will include four weeks of Italian language classes, coaching sessions with Italian coaches, voice lessons, masterclasses with leading international artists, an immersive cultural experience, and much more! See below for specific opportunities for our singers, collaborative pianists, assistant conductors, and assistant directors.

Our Italian partner and the provider of our language classes,Centro Studi Italiani, is one of Italy’s most prestigious Italian language and culture schools for international students, with over 40 years of experience. It is possible for students to petition to their universities for language credits, as CSI will provide a transcript for the number of class hours taken.
